Indian Social Club, Sohar organizes a Carrom Tournament

The newly formed Indian Social Club, Sohar conducted a Carrom tournament on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Sohar Plaza. The tournament was organized by the Sports committee of ISC, Sohar consisting of Mr. Nell N. Vaz with help from Mr. Thomas Peter.

 The tournament was conducted in three categories. The categories were Single event for Children less than 18 years, Single event for Adults and a double event. There was lot of enthusiasm amongst the participants and their families. There was overwhelming response to the event in all three categories.

 Apart from members of the Indian Community, there was participation from Omanis. One of them Mr. Mohd Salem Mohd al Maqbali from Tareef in Sohar and working in Khimji Building Materials was all praise for the event and mentioned that he will take part in more such events and will encourage his friends to take part in future events.

 In the adult category the final match was a very intense affair. The game went all the way. The prizes to all the winners were distributed by Dr Rajiv Tandon, Chairman of the Indian Social Club, Sohar.
