Art Competition for children as well as for adults being
organized by Indian Social Club, Sohar. The event to mark Children's Day will be
held in the food court of City Plaza (cinema complex) in Sohar on Friday, 16th
Nov. 2012 from 4 pm onwards. Entry to the event is open to Indians, Omanis and
all other nationalities who may desire to take part.
There is no entry fee for the event in any category. The
various categories and topics are
- Upto and including Class 2nd - Crayon colouring of
an outlined drawing e.g Fish etc.
- From class 3rd to class 5th - Colour Pencil
drawing of a "Ship"
- From Class 6th to Class 8th - Watercolour
painting on the topic "My favourite game"
- From Class 9th to Class 12th - Watercolour
painting on the topic "Global warming"
- For adults (both ladies and gentlemen) - Sketching
using lead pencils of an object provided on the spot
Good quality A 4 size paper will be provided by ISC, Sohar. Other
items like crayons, pencils, erasers, paints, clip boards etc to be used for the
competition will have to be got by the participants themseles. All the works of
art so generated will be the property of ISC, Sohar. Judging will be done later
by a panel appointed by ISC, Sohar. 3 prizes in each category will be
distributed in some future event of ISC, Sohar. Really good works of art will be
scanned and put up on the website with the name of the artist |
