PERFORMERS : Mrs. Charanjit Soni and Mr. Farid Ahmed Khan
Charanjit Soni had her earlier schooling in Vocal music from her father.
Late Sh. N.S. Soni and brother Bhupinder singh, the noted playback singer and
front ranking ghazalist. Charanjit Soni continued her training under the
tutelage of Pandit Bhuaduttji. After doing her master’s degree in vocal
classical from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Charanjit came under the guidanceof Smt.
Shanti Hiranandji to specialize in the tradition of Begaum akhter style of
Thumri, Dadra and ghazal singing. A regular performer on Radio and television
Charanjit has given many successful concert in different parts of India.
Fareed Ahmad Khan -
Sufi Kalam, Ghazal and Geet singer from India
Fareed Khan is once of the foremost representatives of a legendary musical
heritage and the torchbearer if the 100 years old Kiraana Gharana of Khayal
Gayaki,which is known for its stalwarts Ustad Abdul Karim Khan and Ustad Abdul
Waheed Khan. Fareed Khan is the son and the disciple of renowned Sarangi
player Ustad Rafique Ahmed Khan. Fareed Khan is a singer and composer of Ghazal,
Geet and Sufi Kalam. Having emerged as a child prodigy, he gave his first public
performance at the age of seven. Fareed Khan did his M.A. in Vocal Music from
Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. A regular Radio & Television singer.
