Ambassador
of India to the Sultanate of Oman, Anil Wadhwa has issued the following
message:
The Embassy
of India in Muscat is closely monitoring the current situation in the Sultanate
including Sohar. The Embassy is hopeful that the situation will be brought under
control in the near future.
The Indian
Embassy in Muscat advice all Indian citizens, residents in the Sultanate of Oman
to avoid taking part in demonstrations or protests , as they may turn violent
with little or no advanced warning. Indian nationals are asked to exercise
vigilance, remain calm and to ensure adequate security measures are in place for
their personal safety. They should plan to avoid areas in which demonstrations
or large gathering might take place.
The Embassy
will encourage Indian Nationals residing in Oman to register online in the form
provided at the Embassy website:
