Ramadan donation by Indian Social Club, Sohar

Indian Social Club, Sohar on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, has donated a sum of R.O 840.000 to the underprivileged sections of society through the Ministry of Social Development. The cheque of the same amount was handed over to Mr. Amr Mohd. al Hajri, General Manager, Batinah Region of the Ministry of Social Development in his office in Sohar by Dr Rajiv Tandon, the Chairman of Indian Social Club, Sohar along with other office bearers including Mr. M.S Jha, Mr. M.K Mahadevan, Mr. R Ravishankar and Mr. Elangovan. The donations were collected from members of the Indian Community of Sohar.

To further continue its social commitment to society Indian Social Club, Sohar is organizing a Blood Donation Camp on Friday, 1^st October 2010 in Sohar Hospital OPD Complex between 9 am and 2 pm to coincide with the 40^th Renaissance Day of the Sultanate of Oman and the 141^st birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The Indian Social Club, Sohar has appealed to all sections of the Indian Community of Sohar and Batinah Region to donate blood to make the event a success.
